      Hi all,

      Was having issues getting bluetooth working on Retropie update, so I did a clean install to 3.8.1. I now have the onboard bluetooth working like a gem and can pair devices, but now there's a different issue. I bought a Matricom G-Pad BX, and I can get it paired, but when I go in to set the controls using the mapping interface in Retropie, it does not recognize my two front bumpers. All other keys, including back bumpers, sticks and dpad, register no problem.

      I've connected to my computer to make sure it's not a faulty controller, and they work just fine on my computer. I haven't tried the manual configuration yet, and guess I can, but not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue before I start trying to go deeper into problem-solving.

      Relatively new to all of this, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

      /edit to add, the right thumbstick works on clicks, but also does not work for directional controls. If it's a controller issue this was like 20 bucks so not the end of the world, but would love a rec so I don't make a similar mistake...

        Second edit, to see if anyone has thoughts on whether this is my issue/has a fix - the controller isn't reading as a controller, it's reading as a keyboard + mouse, and the bumpers/right stick that don't work are trying to come across as the mouse. I'm guessing I'm SOL on this guy and need to get a new controller, any thoughts otherwise?

          When you say you tried it with your computer and it's fine - I assume you mean Windows ? Some controllers will work on windows but not on Linux.

          Does the controller have different pairing modes ? Did you try the udev rule from the bluetooth settings in retropie-setup (will need to update retropie-setup). That may be needed also.

            Both windows and OSX worked fine. Don't have a Linux box, so haven't tried that.

            The controller does, and I've tried them without success. I haven't tried the udev rule, will take a look at that when I get home today.

              Were you able to get this to work? I really like this controller and it would be great to get it working.

                @creol123

                FWIW, I was able to get my Matricom XYBA gamepads working, but only after switching to a fresh RetroPie install. I tried every suggestion I could find, and gave up after a couple hours of effort. I got to the point where the controllers worked in Emulation Station, but not with any of the ROMs. In my case, I believe the issue was that I had previously enabled the PS3 drivers, and that somehow affected the configuration such that the ROMs wouldn't recognize the Matricom gamepads.
