setting up retro Pie for cheats?

As mentioned in the video he says "set it up for retro arch" how do I do that? while I do play games with out cheating it is sometimes fun just to play something along the lines of a "run and gun" style game and to completely go "Rambo" on every on every now and then so how do I go about doing that?

That's a lot of reading.
Open Retroarch in RetoPie settings and go to the Updater. Update the cheat database. Then while in game, use the hotkey to open the RGUI menu, go to cheats and increase the number of passes. Select the cheat you want, and select apply the changes.
Some don't seem to work, and there is an issue when Sega systems.
