Not All GBA roms upload to RetroPie (your file does not seem to be a valid rom)
-
Sorry guys, there is a lot a don't understand, but I will try my best to explain what is going on.
I am using a Mac computer, and with it I am dropping rom files into my RetroPie through the internet (using the IP address, I don't know what this process is called)
Most of the GBA roms I use work and when downloaded to my Mac laptop look like this.
and its these roms that work. The roms that download to my Mac and look like this
Do not work. I get a warning like this one
When I try to drop them into the upload box.
What is going on here, and how can I fix the issue
Thanks! -
@derf maybe its the way it transfers them. Have you tried changing them from .GBA to .gba?
-
You can transfer ROMs directly to your PI via File Shares from macOS, you don't need to go through the web page upload.

@edmaul69 This was honestly my first time using a forum, and my biggest fear was posting something kinda dumb, Haha, and I kinda did. Your right that was my problem. Thanks, for replying so soon it helped a ton! Now I'm playing Final fantasy and Castlevania with no problems!

@mitu Thanks man! I didn't know that. I will start doing that as I'm going to mess around with doom and costume images for the scraper, so all my rom hacks look pretty!
