      Hi,

how can I rename a Custom Collection? ES doesn't seem to have such a function, and if I rename the file in /home/pi/.emulationstation/collections/, the collection disappears in ES. So, it seems that the collections' names are stored somewhere else in addition to the collections directory.

      Any help is appreciated.

      Cheers
      Clyde

Clyde, forgive if I'm wrong, but aren't Custom Collections in

        /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/collections

Perhaps rename them from there ?

@Clyde You have to enable it in Emulationstation to appear. The names of the enabled custom collections is stored in the es_settings.cfg file, if you renamed it, it's probably not in there yet.

After Renaming the relevant .cfg file at /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/collections/, you also need to make the corresponding change in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/es_settings.cfg under the string name 'CollectionSystemsCustom'.

Thanks for all of your quick responses.

@John_RM_70 /home/pi/.emulationstation/collections is a soft link to /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/collections. Both paths are equally valid.

@mitu @mediamogul You both just told me the same solution in different ways. It's good to know both. 😊

Yeah, I noticed a little later that we posted about a minute within each other. Of course he got there first, so now I owe him a Coke.
