Whenever I attempt to play Nintendo 64 or GBA games I am allowed to look at the game, but when I try to start, it doesn't. After pressing A and B the screen blacks out and the game pauses. By pressing A, the screeen lights up, runs a frame, and blacks out again. This does not happen with my GBC games. I am using a Pi 2B+ and RetroPie v3.8.1. It is built on an SD card with a USB Stick, mouse, and keyboard hooked up, but the mouse is not being used, just the keyboard. I have not recieved any error messages from EmulationStation and only followed the Installation Guide for configuring the SD Card. I don't know which file is the source of the problem. To replicate the problem, I simply start up the game again. Please Help, I would really like to play these.

UPDATE: It's not that I don't know which file is the source of the problem, I just don't know how to check. If somebody would tell me how, that would be great. Also, this same problem was present on a Raspberry Pi 3-something, and this is the second time the file has been put on the SD Card. I don't know if that will help fix my problem.
