Hi everyone, I'm very new to this so I might of missed something completely obvious.
I have 2 usb SNES style controllers and they are both set up and work perfectly in the emulationstation menu. However when I start a ROM I can't get the second controller to work as player 2. I have gone into the retroarch menu and set the second controller up but it still doesn't work In the emulator.

      Thanks in advance

Are they both the exact same controller?

@mediamogul yeah they are and they are both plugged in via a USB hub. When I plug them in it shows at the bottom in yellow writing that controller#0 or controller#1 is connected so I'm pretty sure they are registering as separate controllers

Run a test with a two player game. I always pick 'Battletoads Double Dragon' because seeing human beings fighting alongside anthropomorphic frogs always gives me hope for the future of world peace. Try starting the game and see if the first controller moves player 2 as well.

@mediamogul I tested it with street fighter on the snes and both players were moved by one controller but with mario kart player 2 wouldn't move at all
