Xbox one controller not working when i go into any game. Connected via Bluetooth

Ok, I have done the code to disable ERTM and it the Xbox controller does connect however when I try to go into any game on any emulator the pi seems not to receive any input from the controller. Any help appreciated, thank you.

@Bravenstein Does the controller work in Emulationstation, browsing the games and launching them ? Please add more info about your setup as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
