so, i was trying to update my retropie to fix my n64 emulator and some other stuff, but when i reset the device, it gets me to a crash screen and i can't play anymore

Please provide us with the information that is asked for in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and with the exact wording of the crash screen (preferably in form of a screenshot).
