No Such file Or Directory
-
After updating retropie via source in the settings - among pretty much updating everything else via source.
I am trying to use Steven's scraper it is installed.
After installing the package, I hit F4 and get to this pi@retropie Screen.
I type in sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
and I get "No such file or directory"
Try it multiple ways, capitlization is perfect, with spacing, without spacing...
Nothing.
Pi Model: B+

Can you run - from the command line - the following command
ls $HOME
and paste the output here in the topic.
-
states
-bash: /home/pi : Is a directory
-
@Diddy That's not the outcome that I was expecting. The command should have listed the contents of the
/home/pi
folder, including if it contains theRetroPie-Setup
installation folder.
Can you run - also from the command line - the following commandsudo ls -l /home/pi
and post the output ? I think the permissions on your home folder are not correct.
-
@mitu I think they didn't type the
ls
part. (They just typed$HOME
). Which would give that error. -
-
It states RetroPie RetroPie-Setup
-
@Diddy OK, now type
sudo $HOME/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
and make sure the casing is as above. Linux is case-sensitive, so using a different case for a letter would result in an error.

Thanks that worked?!
