Error starting RetroPie on new installation
-
Hello and all my wishes for 2019. I need your help: I have pi 3b + and I install retropie on my new micrsd with win32disklmanager or I checked that everything goes well except pi3b start + j arrives on the order page with raspberry and I tried typing EMULASTIONSTATION, PI, RASPBERRY, nothing works. Why ? I took the last image of retropie 4.4 thanks for your help

@NIINIIKOO If you've used the RetroPie's image from the site you don't get this problem, so did you use another image or did other configuration to the image ?
-
no my microsd is new. can be because of fat32 or ntfs?

@NIINIIKOO The previous formatting of the card doesn't matter, writing the RetroPie image will re-format the card.
Regardless, the 1st boot of RetroPie will expand the filesystem on the card and then reboot, but it will not show you the prompt. So, does this happen on a new installation or not ? -
@mitu
yes, I tried several images retropie official and also[removed]
but its still the same except on a pi3b everything works. i think my pi3b + is not normal because write on date 2014 and main chip of black color instead of steel -
@NIINIIKOO We don't support 3rd party images here, so let's leave those aside. Can you try re-writing the image using Etcher instead of Win32DiskImager, put the card and boot with it, then wait until the system reboots and see if Emulationstation starts.

@mitu
I just did with etcher but it is the same result. i think i'm good at buying a pi3b instead of my pi3b + that looks disrespectful. I'm lost. thank you for your help.
