Can’t transfer large roms over network
-
Okay so I have a really good network and transfer files all the time. I have an odroid xu4. I have a 128gb sandisk sd card I bought at Target(it’s not fake). I can tranfer small roms no problem but when I try PSX or Dreamcast it fails. I can transfer large roms to my pc or even phone no problem. I can also transfer large files no problem to my pi 3 running Recalbox. Just everytime I try transferring a larger file it fails and constantly disconnects. I also tried enabling the usb service and making the retropie folder to get the odroid to create a file system inside that folder and after waiting a while when I plug the drive into my pc the folder is empty. I tried multiple drives. 🤕

@Failrunner How exactly are you transferring the files ? Over file shares , SFTP ? Are you using WiFI or a wired LAN connection ?
-
@mitu Tried sftp and lan. I used windows stock explorer file system and filezilla. Thanks.

@Failrunner Please add more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Any errors in the system logs ? -
@mitu Okay magically after making this post network transfer started working after fighting with it for two. I didn’t do anything. It now works. Thanks. Wish I knew what fixed it so I could post it but I didn’t do anything to fix it.

@Failrunner I find here at my place if there are other electronics or cell phones connected to network, speed is slow for transferring. Three cell phones here plus my laptop running at once through the wifi makes my transfers to my pi either really slow or I can't transfer at all like your problem. I never have tried using a LAN cable in that situation myself as all connections run through my router I think will still have the same problem --> network traffic.

@ByteThis I thought about hooking up a lan cable but i’m too lazy to run one from my router behind my furniture and to the pie.
