Possible to run ROMS from both the SD boot drive and a USB thumb drive at same time?

Hi , I am putting together a retropie machine tomorrow. I am hoping that its possible to have retropie read the ROMS from the boot SD card and also from a near permanently attached flash thumb drive at once, so they get pooled into its search engine. Is this possible? I was trying to find information directly saying this but could not get the exact answer.

Yes, it's possible, but you'll have to configure that manually yourself.
