Having trouble booting

Everytime I boot the raspberry out I get a emulationstation crash check rom file/folder permission and if running on raspberry pi make sure gpu_split is high enough and/or switch back using carbon theme
I hear music but I can't do anything else it says ok to select it but I can't

@xjd00mx Please add more info about your setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. You problems looks like a bad image or sd card - how did you install the system (also one of the questions in the link above).

@mitu it's a raspberry pi 3bt the image is a premade one from vman 128g I installed it with etcher on a Mac is I got it to work for a few mins I tried to expand the SD card since I have a 128g and it only takes up 118 then I rebooted it and it gave me the error

@xjd00mx if you had read the post you agreed when registering you would know that we don't support 3rd party images. Ask vman for help.
