PS2 "emulator"
-
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this. If there is a mod and this is not the right place, please correct me. And sorry for bad english.
Yeah, i know that a ps2 emulator in retropie is impossible with an hardware like the pi 3. It's not my question.
Recently i built a bartop with retropie. Everything perfect, great software, I don't know how make arcade games work, only metal slug work for me, but that's not the problem. Anyway, great software.
The point is that i want to play PS2 games on this bartop. Software emulation is impossible. But I have an original ps2 and some basic electronic and programming knowledge. I think it's possible to communicate from rpi to ps2 and viceversa. Sure, i think i can turn on the ps2 with the pi. I think that i can put an hdd loader on ps2 (yeah, only for free amateur games, totally legal...).
But... What about controller? I made a keyhack for the raspberry. Can I reuse this for the ps2, with retropie as intermediate? The ps3 wireless controller would be great too. What about an icon in the emulation station menu to start the ps2 and switch the video? Is that possible?
Well... Sorry if this is not the right place. I hope that you may help me with this idea.
