Okay so I have 700+ G of games on my 1T external USB hard drive where I keep all my roms. The problem I am having is that I have an .mp4 splash screen that starts up when the system boots and its not saving. I already got the sound working and the delay correct so it finishes the clip. The problem is when I turn off the system then turn it on its just a black screen then ES loads up. If I go into splash screens and select it again and hit restart it boots up with the splash but again disappears when I turn the system off. I feel like its due to the USB hard drive in some way but I am not sure. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

@Retribution Please add more details about your setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. What method are you using to run your ROMs from the disc ?
