I saw in the Retropie documentation wiki that the supported file formats for PCE/TG16 are ".7z .ccd .chd .cue .pce .zip", and further down the page the specifications about filenaming. The example shows a bin/cue format. Is that the only format supported? I ask because I found a resource where I can get some games but it looks like the formats are bin/cue/ape. Where "ape" is the music. Does RetroArch's core support these, or will I be wasting my time downloading them? Is there an extra step I need to do to convert these first? Sorry for being ignorant, it's my first venture into the CD realm of this system.

I don't think .ape is a recognized audio/music format in RetroArch. Aside for .bin/.cue, I didn't have any problems with .chd - which compresses nicely those .bin/.cue files.

So chances are I'll probably not be able to get the audio working without some converting. Bummer. I wonder if anybody can confirm if these games are ALL ape or maybe just a few of them. I don't want to share the location where I can get it but it's pretty well known. I just don't want to blow +100gb getting the collection if it's not going to work.
