      Hi,

I have multiples joypads usb to my retropie (snes, sega genesys, nes, atari 2600) according to the emulator i am playing i plug the joypad in the usb.

The problem is: the atari 2600 joypad has only 1 button. Its difficult to use the buttons that are in atari console (game select and game reset), and use another commands like exit emulator etc.

Is it possible let the snes joypad connected in one usb just to use select, reset, exit emulator, etc. And let the atari 2600 joypad connected in another usb as player 1? just to use the d-pads and button b?

      Thank you for the help.

@thomazrb only one controller can be player one but if you have a USB keyboard that would work.

There are also a few ways to make the system believe that input from multiple controllers is coming from one singular, virtual controller, but it's a bit of a setup process.

Depends on the Atari emulator you're using. I use ye' ol' Stella. In the config screen of Stella (press TAB) you can set "Select" and "Start/reset" to any button of any controller you like. :-)

hm... I've completely overlooked the non-lr Stella. I remember there being some pretty interesting analog paddle control options in there. I'm going to have to give it a go later.
