if i buy Odriod XU4 , can i just put my old sdcard on it (from the retropie 4.4) and it will work ?

No, they're not compatible, you'll need a different installation on the card. Also, note that an XU4 doesn't have Wifi so you'll have to get an USB dongle if you want to use it.

Holding my breath until the next new post that uses the puke tag. I think it could be a while.

              Well, purr fellow.
However, since it is posted under "Help and Support". Here is something you may try while waiting for your new Rpi. I guess all is not lost:

RPi are quite resilient from my experience, never had one puked but one with spilled soda over it. I was able to revive it with these steps:

              1. Disconnect puked (not nuked - sorry for the pun) RPi from mains, remove SD-card.
              2. Let it chill a while to make sure any capacitors and remaining current is gone.
              3. Rinse and clean under a lot of cold water, maybe use a soft toothbrush carefully.
              4. Dry the drops with a antistatic cloth.
              5. Put it in a salad spinner, spin, repeat step 4. and 5. if needed.
              6. Let it air dry or use a oven (50° Celsius max) or a hair dryer in any case do not exceed the normal temperature conditions of the Rpi.
              7. Before reconnecting to power make sure all humidity is gone/removed (USB-Ports, SD-card slot).

              Good luck!

@Lolonois I would not recommend using water to clean electronics. Isopropyl alcohol is a better and safer choice.

My cat stains the concrete when he does that, did your cat's hairball burn through the pi's case?
