8BitDo SN30 "not configured"
-
Hi everyone,
Apologies for my post - I promise I have tried reading other threads but not quite found a solution.
I've finally taken the plunge and setup a RetroPie 4.3 system -> I have to admit, I purchased the micro SD card pre-configured with it!
I tried setting up an X-Box 1 controller (wired) but whilst it worked in menus, it wouldn't work with games unless I disconnected & re-connected it. Even then, the hotkey wouldn't work.
So I thought I'd get an SN30 wired (not Pro) and use that instead - configures OK, works in menus fine but won't do anything when a game loads. When I disconnect and re-connect it says "SNES30 Joy (11720/43808) not configured". This is despite it being fine in menus!
The firmware is 4.10, i.e the latest version. I want to get it working via Bluetooth at some stage, but for now I'd be happy with it wired.
Does anyone have any advice please? I've spent the last two hours trying to figure it out, so please someone save me ;)
Many thanks

We don't support 3rd party images - especially ones sold with RetroPie. RetroPie's license forbids re-selling images with RetroPie.
If you wish to get support here in the forums, please use the image from retropie.org.uk/download and follow the docs to install it and configure it. -
@mitu oh, my apologies I didn't mean to break T&Cs - I'll give the download a go, perhaps that will resolve the issue in itself.
Many thanks

@mitu Delighted to say that a clean install on a seperate card resolved the issue! It's also quicker to load by some distance.
I can finally try and complete some unfinished games from 25 years ago :)
A huge 'thank you' for pointing me in the right direction.
