      Is it possible to play the splashscreen audio with a usb audio device. On my apple iie pi i added a second apple speaker to the case and wired them up to a headphone jack. Works pretty good for replicating the original audio level of the apple iie. So i would like to use usb audio only if it is possible to use it with the splashscreen

            @mitu you told a guy to replace line 35 of the asplashscreen.sh from:

            omxplayer -o both
            

            to

            omxplayer -o alsa

              That should work, but be careful that a full update might overwrite the file - make a backup in /home/pi just in case after you've tested and made it work.

                @mitu will do. I just now finally got to configuring all of my retroarch.cfg files since i switched to retropie 4.4. Backed up my config folder now. Already had the emulators and libretrocores folders backed up. So now i can do a full update tomorrow.
