Hi everybody i'm looking for help about hiding files in retropie.
I have some games for Sega Cd with CUE file, ISO file and OGG for sound , the games are working great so far , i have to launch them with the CUE File but my problem is , i see each time for one game two files the CUE and the ISO.
So my question is, can i hide the osi file so i could have only one file for one game..
thank you for your help !

You could edit this file to hide the extensions you dont want to see in Emulation Station
        /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.

I don't recommend editing that file directly - better to copy ~/RetroPie-Setup/platforms.cfg to /opt/retropie/configs/all/ and adjust the extensions in the file. Then re-installing/reconfiguring an emulator for that system will use your extensions. The file will need to be updated manually though in the future if new platforms are added.

Alternatively the RetroPie-Setup one can be edited directly, which will be updated automatically, but if there is a conflict, that will need to be resolved manually when updating retropie-setup

@BuZz So i made a copy of platforms.cfg into the /opt/retropie/configs/all/ and modified the extensions i don't need for my platforms. I made a reboot after that but nothing change.. Do i need to do something else ? do i need to re-installing/reconfiguring emulation station ?
I don't think it is a good idea to edit the retropie setup because each time i will need to update the retropie i will erase my modification right ?
For now i am with Retropie 3.8 because i see there's trouble with Xbox controller in the new release ..

@Guy0me Try re-installing the emulator you are working with - you can see the options here:
                https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Updating-RetroPie

Your Sega CD emulator will probably be under the "Manage main packages" menu.
You will need to update the RetroPie script to see the new options.

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.

Even if it is 6 Month ago - I'll post my advice here (instead of opening a new topic):

Just rename the .iso to .bin and edit the .cue file to match the new filename of the renamed track (Works in RetroPie 4.1 with both lr-* emulators).

Keep in mind: changing the file extension does NOT convert the iso to a bin file, it still is containertype iso just renamed to bin... wait, Just tried, you can change the extension to "anything", as an example .!iso won't be shown by ES but still be loaded if referenced in the .cue (And with such a file-extension one will be reminded that it is a track in iso format) ;)

If the scraped information was associated with the .cue everything should be fine, if it was scraped for the .iso I am not sure (There are some scraping issues for the amiga and the using of .uae files instead of .adfs thats ringing a bell in this context) - sorry, haven't done a complete scraping run yet - just tried it out with selecting cd-title (.cue) -> edit metadata -> scrap, and that worked fine...
