MAME ROW stands for MAME Random Of the Week. We randomly select an arcade game from the 0.78 MAME Reference Set to play on the week. The idea is to play games we've never played before, interact with other forum members, post hi-scores, share game strategies, fun facts, and (the most important) HAVE FUN!
Notes:
-
We usually post hi-scores screenshots after playing with only one credit. If you used more than one credit, please mention it on your post.
-
There's no need to use RetroPie to join the MAME ROW! You can play it on any platform you want.
-
Feel free to post your hi-score (or any content about the game) anytime you want on the previous rounds topics (link below).
Every Monday we create a topic at the "General Discussion and Gaming > MAME Random Of the Week" forum section with the 3 random games to be voted. And on Wednesday we check the result.
These "rules" are constantly being improved!

T-MEK actually looks kind of cool. Reminds me of that Windows 95 game Hover!. It would probably be even better if it had Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes!
-
@backstander Im not sure how different it is from the console port but I was unimpressed with the 32x version.
-
Night Stocker and T-MEK look kinda similar. You gotta love those jaggy rasterized graphics.
-
This week's winner is T-MEK

Game runs slow on my pi but is still somewhat playable. Has anyone figured out the controls? Can't seem to move forward properly.
-
@quicksilver From the vid it looks like tank controls. Turn right/left, strafe right/left, move forwards/backwards. I'm at work at the moment, but I'll play around with this tonight. With MAME 2015 you should be able to map the controls fairly easily and could even put the "strafe" commands on buttons to play with a joystick. I dunno. I could totally be talking nonsense.

There is Deathmatch in the original arcade version.

MAME ROW #133 is now live
