I use retroarch on my windows desktop, and I have problems setting my save and savestates directories as my content directoy (I want my saves and savestates files to be in the same directory as the romfile I'm loading).

SInce it's stated in the directory rgui menu that if no folder is set it would do that, I tried to go into the retroarch.cfg file and change "savefile_directory = ":\saves" " to "savefile_directory = "" ", but it keeps changing back to the default ""savefile_directory = ":\saves" " whenever I try to change it, how can I fix this ?

@Galewin first off you show 3 “ and if thats the case that would mess it up. Remove the “” entirely. They dont need to be there at all. Then try. Otherwise point it all the way to your roms folder. Example

        C:\users\galewin\desktop\retroarch\roms\nes\

@Galewin also if you use ”” there cannot be a space between them.
