I set several games to 'hidden' in my collections in order to clean them up a little bit, but it seems whether the option is set to on or off it still shows the games in my list

      Raspberry Pi 3 B+
      Version 4.4.15
Built from pre-made SD image on Reropie website then updated via Retropie Setup

@wilhitewarrior I think it applies a filter for the files that are marked as 'hidden' on the file system, not in Emulationstation. In Linux, files/folders starting with . (dot) are considered 'hidden', on Windows there's an file attribute that's considered.
If you wish for ROMs/games marked as 'hidden' in ES to be removed from View, you can either apply a filter or switch to Kiosk mode.

@mitu Thanks! Listing them as hidden in windows before uploading them didn't work but putting the . before the file name did! Thanks for the help, I'm a dummy when it comes to linux :) #gratitude

FYI for anyone else doing this, after renaming the files I had to make sure the 'show hidden games' option was off and then restart emulationstation for it to take effect
