@shavecat Please don't use images with showing log files, it's hard to look and search for errors. Use pastebin.com for large logs and for a few lines, just surround them with code blocks.

for the reicast games like jet set radio or sonic after select the 60mhz
it goes out , this is the image of the runcommand.
and for the lr-flycast runcommand-grep: /opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/retroarch.cfg: No such file or directory grep: /opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/retroarch.cfg: No such file or directory grep: /opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/retroarch.cfg: No such file or directory grep: /opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/retroarch.cfg: No such file or directory Parameters: Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-flycast/flycast_libretro.so </dev/null --config /opt/retropie/configs/drea$ [reicast]: Got size: 640 x 480. for the reicast games like jet set radio or sonic after select the 60mhz
it goes out ,What does this mean ?
really slowwwwwwww
That could be for a number of reasons - what system are you running on ? Is every game slow or just some of them ?
-
@mitu
pi3b+ 4.5 .
just now update .
before the dreamcast was running with no problems with the recast .
and its quit with some games after picking the MHZ.and the lr-flycast , everything is really slow... everygame.
any ideas ?
or just go back to my 4.4 image save ? (will be shame ) -

then it takes to load the game like 1 min' from then everything really slow.... -

pi3b+ 4.5 .
I was referring to the hardware setup you have - as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Do you have any overclock ? Is your Temperature ok ? Do you get any over-voltage signs ? What's you GPU memory split ?
and its quit with some games after picking the MHZ.
Where exactly are you picking the
MHZ
? Is this the resolution change in the Runcommand launch menu ?then it takes to load the game like 1 min' from then everything really slow....
Is it for every game like this ? No matter the size ?
-
@mitu thanks for the help so -
Do you have any overclock ?
yep like before work like charm
Is your Temperature ok ?
yep 44 deg'
Do you get any over-voltage signs ?
no
What's you GPU memory split ?
120 think like before .
Where exactly are you picking the MHZ ?
after u pick a game and its start after the logo
u pick for the tv 50Mhz or 60MHZ
after u pick it exit
every game
Is this the resolution change in the Runcommand launch menu ?
no
Is it for every game like this ? No matter the size ?
yes.IM the only one having this problems after update ? with dreamcast only ??
everything else works perfect. still got my image 4.4 so can always go back but will be shame :\ -
After the logo of a game
TV settings
50MHZ / 60MHZ / TEST
after i pick 50/60
its quit .

if i dont have any settings tv the game works...

You need to overclock your gpu, 500Mhz is the bare minimum for a good gaming experience, the default 300Mhz is not enough for most games.
-
@barbudreadmon
have it -arm_freq=1500 core_freq=600 sdram_freq=550 v3d_freq=525 over_voltage=6 sdram_over_voltage=4 temp_limit=70 temp_soft_limit=70
its only slow on the lr-flycast
on the recast run fine but getting quit after same games to pick tv settings MHZ. -
Got it fix the 50MHZ 60MHZ
only the lr-flycast dont work right. -
@shavecat said in lr-flycast dreamcast not working and some dreamcast games quit after pick TV SETTINGS 60mhz(after logo game):
have it -
No, you don't,
gpu_freq
is missing from your config. -
@barbudreadmon
what to add exactly ?
thanks ! -
@barbudreadmon he already has core_freq and v3d_freq overclocked in his config.txt. The other blocks of the GPU shouldnt need to be overclocked for emulation purposes.
-
@quicksilver
thanks !
so why it so slow ?
on the recast its working fine -
@shavecat I have no clue

Are you sure v3d_freq is enough ? I always set gpu_freq instead.

Maybe your core options then ? lr-flycast's default settings aren't for low-end device, unlike reicast's. iirc, the following settings are especially important :
reicast_alpha_sorting = "per-strip (fast, least accurate)" reicast_div_matching = "auto" reicast_enable_dsp = "disabled" reicast_threaded_rendering = "enabled" reicast_cable_type = "VGA (RGB)" reicast_frame_skipping = "1"
You might need to change frame_skipping on a per-game basis.
-
@barbudreadmon the only other two blocks of the GPU are for the image sensor pipeline (camera) and video decoding. Neither of which are useful here.
-
so nothing i can do to make it faster ? :'(

Did you set the core options as i told you ?
