Gargled Sound On Neo Geo

RetroPie Version Used: 3.8.1
Built From: Iso? The download from this site.
USB Devices connected: Bluetooth dongle for PS3 controller powered via USB external powered hub.
Controller PS3
Error messages received: N/A
Emulator: Retropie / Neo GeoHi all,
I been playing NES, SNES, Megadrive fine but when I try Neo Geo games like Metal Gear and The Punisher (only games I have) the sound is gargled. It has sound but it sounds wrong, I am outputting it over HDMI and playing through my built in monitor speakers.
Only sound option I have changed is turning the system up to 100% output, but even at default it is still off.
Any ideas?

Not going to try and smart incredibly smart-assy but neither Metal Gear nor The Punisher are Neo Geo games but actually MAME titles.
Perhaps you could put them in the FBA folder instead of NeoGeo? It could be that the NeoGeo folder will run them (as it is FBA behind the scenes) but perhaps uses tweaks?

The truth is I got confused, I change the title from 'Mame4all' to Neo Geo. You are fully right the games I said in my post are Mame games, I forgot to change this in the edit I did.
The problem is with NeoGeo and not mame, to which is working fine.
Sorry for any confusion caused.

Been looking around all day on the web and still can not find any information why the sound on the neogeo is bad. Any ideas?
