input configuration problem on retropie 3.8.1
-
hi the retropie team.
i have a raspberry pi zero, 3 different controller input : a combo keyboard mouse from logitech (MX5500), an xbox 360 gamepad and a logitech rumblepad 2 gamepad.so i install retropie 3.8.1 (the last one) on my sdcard and run it, but it appear that when i am on the input configuration screen, i can do nothing. when i am with the keyboard, pressing F4 do nothing, when i am with the xbox360 gamepad, retropie didn't recognize it, when i am with the logitech gamepad, retropie recognize it but when i pressed a button, the gamepad configuration didn't go on.
so after many different try, i decide to test with an older version of retropie, so i have install the version 3.7 on my sdcard, and run it with the logitech gamepad, and when i arrive through the input configuration screen i pressed a button and the input configuration go on. so there is a probleme with the version 3.8.1 with the logitech stuff or i have missed something specific to this version ?
i didn't know where to notify this sort of bug, so sorry if it is in the wrong place.

You may need to use a powered hub - also what PSU are you using ?
Make sure the controller is in xinput mode (if it has a switch). This may help also https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Logitech-controllers

Hi BuZz,
thanks a lot for your reply.
sorry, but i just realise that i didn't explain things correctly yesterday, i am not using any usb hub or things like that, when i say that i have 3 different input, that's input i have try to use one by one on my raspberry zero.now for both keyboard (if i need a keyboard to configure my pi, i will try to find another one less exotic) and xbox360 controller, i think i will not try to use it with my pi anymore.
i will use only the logitech gamepad for the moment, so i will check the content of your link to see if i could solve the problem in the version 3.8.1.thanks for your help.
