      Hi Guys

I have been playing with a small handheld pi zero based project, and the issue of sound has come up on the agenda. Ideally i dont want to be messing with building filter boards and the like, so some of the I2S DAC based boards are looking the easiest method, however they dont generally have the ability to alter the gain (there is an adafruit one that you can change resistors, but that generally needs restarting afterwards which isnt ideal)

I have found the volume settings in the UI menu and was pondering if there may some way to add something to the gpio mapping i currently use (adafruit retrogame) to add some globally usable volume buttons so i can just have a fixed gain on the I2S board, and just alter the os volume instead.

Here is the boards im pondering

      or

      Thanks
