HostBeat project - Help needed
-
Hi Guys,
I'm working on a one personal project.
I am linux admin and R-Pi owner since dinosaurs :) and I faced one problem again and again.
And it is to know remote IP address of all my devices or devices that I manage.
I tried many services out there, but almost each of them are paid or with millions of limitations or hidden terms, etc...
So I wanted to do something useful for me and maybe for other people.
I started with this idea many times without any progress, but now, I wanted to join #100DaysOfCode challenge (again without success)
Simply, didn't have 1 more hour for coding each day.
In the other hand I had one or two weekends to finish my project (at least PoC/MvP). It is Python - Flask based and it works! (as it seems)You can add any device : R-Pi, Mac, Linux server or Router (almost anything). Name it as you wish and connect it with simple command with this service.
Every device will receive unique identifier and you can send simple GET request from device to service API and service will try to identify device's IP
After that you will be able to identify remote IP of that device across the internet and also track IP changes on that device. For now it is PoC or MVP that works for me. And I will be very grateful If you will help with my project.
I want to know if everything works not only for me, but all of you.For now it is in Beta, and this wasn't considered as commercial project.
No. of devices is limited to 5 and no. of last IP changes is set to 6, but feel free to write me an email and I will higher your limits to thousands etc....Many many thanks :)

Finally I had free weekend and a lot of time to work on hostbeat.info
As some of you have asked through the feedback form, I've added 2 new features. Both related to e-mail notifications:
- Notifications when the IP address of the device changes
- Notifications when the device does not report for 15 minutes
Notifications can be enabled on https://app.hostbeat.info/notifications
They can be enabled on separate device or for all devices. So you will not miss any change on your devices.First of all, I want to thank each of you for helping me test my app and for valuable feedback.
Do not hesitate to contact me for further functionality in the future.I plan next features like slack notifications or API key for automatic device creation (helpful for sysadmins)
Many thanks, Tomas -

@Pytlicek Your screenshots (at the bottom of the post) are not showing correctly. I don't know if it's a temporary error or a configuration problem on the source site.
