I've switched from Selph Scraper to Skyscraper. I have a couple of romhacks that I wanted to include. As I understand, these are not listed on any official gameDB and as a result have to be added manually into the gamelist.xml. Also, I am building my retropie rom-collection slowly. I don't want to add all roms at once. I'm adding a couple at a time, which requires me to run the scraping process multiple times to include newly added roms.

      1. question: Where do I need to put my own images so that they get included during the caching process?
If I add an image for, say Pokemon Ashgrey-image.png and after that add another game and run the skyscraper-caching process again, my manually added game-images get deleted.
      2. question: Where can I find the text during teh cashing proess?
I run the scraper from putty. Starting retropie_setup.sh results in this dos-like menu that you navigate using arrow-keys. When I now run skyscraper's cashing process, there is a lot of text running across the screen, which moves really fast but also contains a lot of useful information however, after the process is done I'm back at the dos-like textbox and cannot study what was happening.

      Thanks for helping!

        1. Skyscraper has an import module, use it to add your own info to the cache so your information doesn't get overwritten in the resulting gamelist.xml.
        2. Runtime logs can be found in $HOME/RetroPie-Setup/logs, timestamped and compressed.
