Pi Model or other hardware: 3B+
Power Supply used: the original one
      RetroPie Version: 4.5.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected:
      Controller used: 1 PlayStation 4 v2, 1 8bitdo sn30, 1 8bitdo zero

After 3 or 4 hours of continuous playtime, suddenly controller goes unresponsive, Pi froze and nothing will be saved, unless if in the meantime you quit the game and started again. But still in the 3h window.
Lr-beetle-pcsx is the one I use.
I did not see anything like that using other platforms, like SNES or arcade.
Is there any other interesting info who I need to provide?

For one, the emulator on the pi is lr-pcsx-rearmed.
Two. This sounds like the same issue here

I gave that guy advice to turn on interval saving, so the emulator save to disk during gameplay and not only during exit.
