I accidentally made a boo boo. Went into config and removed the tab key from the config menu. Anyway to reset this ?

The setting for that is located in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/mame2003/cfg/default.cfg. If you delete that file, the user control map settings will revert to their original state.

When you say that you "removed the tab key from the config menu", how exactly did you do that?

I was playing a game, was trying to change settings, but ended up in the wrong sub menu and escaped out the setting of the config menu.

When you look in the directory I listed, is there anything there at all? It might be that you need to delete the .cfg file for the game you were playing at the time.

Ok I actually fixed it. I had my roms in the mame-mame4all directory, but I had pointed the default emulator to lr-mame2003. There was a mame2003 directory in same directory as my roms and the default.cfg was in there so I removed it. Thanks for the help :)

Not a problem. Just remember, eating ghosts in a game is fine, but it's disrespectful of the the dead in real life.
