      I just updated Mupen64Plus, and now my hotkeys no longer work and my saves no longer show up in game even though they are still in the roms folder.

      My mupen64plus.cfg file also now only has three lines:

      ScreenshotPath = "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/n64"
      SaveStatePath = "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/n64"
      SaveSRAMPath = "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/n64"

      I am running RetroPie 3.6 on a Raspberry Pi 3, and I am using 8bitdo NES30 Pro controllers.

        The only reason I updated Mupen64Plus was because I had no video when I tried to use mupen64plus-gles2rice.

        When I updated Mupen64Plus, I updated from source to get the newest version, which fixed the video issue with mupen64plus-gles2rice.

        I can update from binary to get back to the old version, but then I'll have the video issue again with mupen64plus-gles2rice. Perhaps that would be an easier issue to solve though.

        Any help is appreciated.

          I also updated to source pretty recently, and everything has been working properly so far.

          Try deleting your mupen64plus.cfg. When you run a game it will generate the whole thing over again. Although, the exit hotkey line won't get generated on the first run, so have a keyboard handy.

          If that doesn't work, there is like you said an easy solution to the rice video bug for the binary version. If you have a proper full mupen64plus.cfg you'll have an audio plugin line.

          # Filename of audio plugin
          AudioPlugin = "mupen64plus-audio-sdl.so"

          or

          AudioPlugin = "mupen64plus-audio-omx.so"

          If you have it set to omx, you shouldn't ever have that video bug. I only prefer sdl because omx is obnoxiously loud.

            Thanks wetriner! I was able to fix the updated version of Mupen64Plus.

            I deleted my mupen64plus.cfg like you said, and it regenerated the file so that I could fix the hotkeys by following these instructions:
            http://blog.petrockblock.com/forums/topic/8bitdo-nes30-pro-hotkey-problems-in-mupen64plus/

            I also was able to find the new location of the save files at /home/pi/.local/share/mupen64plus/save/ whereas before it was storing the save files in the roms folder.
