@Meneer-Jansen said in retropie for the PI4 ????:

As of writing this I don't know if the SD image of Retropie also escapes to "regular" Raspbian after pressing F4. It might though...

It's the same - there's no difference - it's the same Emulationstation version included in both. The image it's created from a stock Raspbian Lite installation image.

Thank you for clearing that up. But if you use the script in that link to install Retropie in Raspbian on a Pi 1, 2 or 3 is it supported then?

sure! i believe you'll pretty much end up with the same (exactly?) as the image if you follow the complete instructions.

Again, thanks for clearing that up. I'l keep using the "manual" method then. :)

As someone with nearly zero Linux understanding I'd much rather wait for the "official" release. I've heard and seen working versions on some Pi4s but I'm pretty sure I'd never get it working.

Until then I can still thank the developers for outstanding work. How else can one play Guardian Legend on an NES emulator on a 55 inch 4K TV with an Xbox One Elite controller and save state my way through the game to save hours of frustration?

Patience will allow one to play Dragon Force on a Saturn emulator with the Xbox One Elite controller, as well.

@cyperghost It also, unfortunately, shows how entitled some people believe they are. Nothing is more annoying, off-putting and disgusting than the, "I can't do this so hurry up and do it for me" mentality.

[sorry for the off-topic] It's why I switched to Linux. Seriously!

@ultrakev9 But you're forgetting that Retropie is an open source project taken on by volunteers providing software for non-commercial use for the sole purpose of making money on Etsy and Amazon.

Wait, that doesn't sound right 🤔
