Retropie is not copying internal folders on flash drive

Do you have the
usbromservice
package installed ? It's in theOptional
package section, if it's not installed then it won't appear underConfiguration/Tools
.Did you use the image from retropie.org.uk/download to perform the installation ?
-
@mitu I don't think I have the package installed. I will look for.
That's how I performed installation:
sudo apt-get install git lsb-release
Next,
cd (Press Enter)
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup.git
(Press Enter)
cd RetroPie-Setup (Press Enter)
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh (Press Enter)
This may take some time, when it is done you willThank you for your reply.

@mitu Shouldn't the transfer of roms via usb be possible ootb in the official RP image? At least https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/ isn't mentioning anything about having to install or enable
usbromservice
. -
@Clyde The RP image already contains the
usbromservice
and it's enabled (I think). That's why I asked what image was used for installation, but it seems a manual installation (over Raspbian) was done, instead of using an image. -
@mitu So, should I use a image? Do you think something went wrong during installation? Should I uninstall and reinstall retropie?
-
@TcMan said in Retropie is not copying internal folders on flash drive:
@mitu So, should I use a image?
That's the preferred way of installing on a Pi and it's faster than a manual install.
Do you think something went wrong during installation?
No, I don't think so, but it something went wrong then you'd have an error note after the installation.
Should I uninstall and reinstall retropie?
If it's already installed, then no, there's no need to reinstall.
