      Hello everyone,,
I have been playing around a lot with the Retropie X86 install on top of Lubuntu and I have been pretty impressed with what I can emulate on old hardware. The oldest setup I have tried so far is a laptop running a single core AMD 64 4000+ at 2.6 ghz. 2 gigs ram, ATI Mobility X600 128 meg video, and just a standard 120 gig SATA HD. I can emulate all the way up to N64/PSX. I have not tried anything more advanced than that. The video card seems to be the biggest bottle neck. I can't find any shaders that run well, but if I leave shaders off everything runs great. Max Resolution is 1280x720. Don't throw away your old PCs. Turn them into Retroboxes!
