I have installed reicast and it appears on my menu.
I have put the bios and flash files in and placed roms in the dreamcast folder.
      These are cdi files.
I have reset and updated but the games dont appear in my menu even though they are in the folder.
I can enter reicast and format memory cards but the games just dont appear in my list.

It's a strange one. Am I doing something wrong?

Doesn't seem like you are doing anything wrong. The games will appear even if the bios aren't where they should be I believe. You should get a message when you open a game telling you exactly what bios to find and where to put them.

I've been having an issue with the +reicast too. A fresh install (source or binary) doesn't seem to work anymore. It has something to do with the Input for the Controls from what I have read. I can't get +Reicast to load to take me to the Visual Memory Unit setting.

Unlike you I can see my games and open them, but none of the controls work. lol

Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Make sure the files have the right extension - .cdi or .CDI, not mixed case.

              Right its a pi3b+
Using 360 controllers. But want to put in my cabinet eventually.
              Running roms from external hdd
              All files are correctly named.
              Correct power source.
              Latest version.

This is my first time with a pi so I am a complete novice.
Though I got Daphne to run!! .
It's just the dreamcast that seems to have issues.
No games appear even though they are in the folder.
The only thing that appears is the reicast.
I'm still learning so idiot guides are needed. Lol
Could it be the reicast thats the problem as when i click on it it goes to another screen that mentions discord, settings. And have to scroll down to get it to run.

No, that's not it. The games should appear - the only criteria for them to show up is the file extension. Can you show a screenshot of the dreamcast folder, containing the files ?
