      Hello, I got a pi a while ago and was using it normally, but for some error transferring files through winscp, the system freezes and in a few moments until reboot, I even managed to transfer after several attempts a set of BIOS , but also do not update on the back, tried with usb but does not update. Uninstalling and reinstalling the error persists.

        Please give more details about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
        Are you using a proper power supply ? Have you tried to see if the SD card is corrupted/faulty ?

            For a 3B model, the recommended power supply should be specced to 5V/2.5A. Can you please add the rest of the information asked ?

                That's not what I was asking - the specs of a 3B+ Pi model are well known. I was asking about

                RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest):
                Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used)
                USB Devices connected:
                Controller used:
                Error messages received:
                Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant)

                  @mitu sorry i'm new to that matter i don't understand much about the system yet. the error is not reported, simply hangs and winscp aborts the transfer.

                  is a RetroPie 4.3 image
                  usb only a parallel xbox control and keyboard

                  that's what I can tell from my beginner understanding

                    I'm somehow skeptical you're using a 4.3 image on a Pi 3B+ model. Support for the 3B+ model was added in RetroPie 4.4, other releases would not boot on this new model.

                    Are you using the image from retropie.org.uk/download or a 3rd party image ?

                      @mitu I think it's a third party but uses retropie. I'm a layman in this area I can't explain.

                        We don't support 3rd party images - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
                        Install the image from retropie.org.uk/download and see if you encounter the same issue.
