      Hi all.

I'm about to help a colleague with her first installation of RetroPie. She's purchased a Pi 3 but it hasn't been delivered yet. She also has a Pi 2.

Could we use the Pi 2 for installation and then move the card to the Pi 3? I've noticed that they have the same installation image. Or would it be better if we used my Pi 3 for the installation? Or would either not work, and should we wait on her 3?

It should work, provided you're using the latest image and not an older release (4.2, 4.3) - the 3B+ model (if by any chance this is what your friend ordered) is not supported by those older releases.

@mitu thanks, yes we've downloaded the newest image and she did order a 3B+.
