Arcade cabinet

So as I'm waiting on the pi4 to come out of the the oven im tossing around in my head what to do with my pi3b+'s thinking maybe a magic mirror and an arcade cabinet two things that have been on my list of things to build and my first thought was to rotate it for a more arcade look then I looked online and it seems many were normal rotation .it is just a simple editing one line in the config to rotate it but is there any reason for or against doing so.

The reason for would be to have a vertical/upright cabinet I suppose. The reason against it - might have a performance impact.
