GPIO problem.

Hello All,
I'm new on this forum and I'm trying to configure retropie (4.4.4) with an old arcade cabinet.
I have 2 players with a "joystick" and 4 buttons each.
I have connected all the wire to GPIO,installed and load at boot mk_arcade_joystick_rpi with map=1,2 and both jstest and evtest reports that all the buttons works fine.
My problem is that emulationstation doesn't seems to "feel" the buttons..I try to click on every button but nothing happens..
Could anyone please help me here? Thanks.

Any particular reason you're using an old RetroPie release ?
EmulationStation used SDL2 underneath to detect the joysticks, try using install SDL_jstest and see if the gamepad is detected.

Hi mitu and thank for your reply.
I have installed also the latest retropie release but I have the same issue.
I'll give a try to install SDL_jstest to see what it says.
Thank you.
Bye,
Cri
