Hi all, I just found this new app a few days ago and immediately thought of folks creating cabinet or console builds and sharing them on this forum. Basically you just take the app and use it with your iPhone to take a few passes at different angles around an object you want to capture it and it morphs it into a 3D image. Then you can crop out the garbage from around the image with the app’s built in cropping tool, and “publish” the image. You can publish in “public“ so everyone around the world can see it or publish in “private” so only someone you send the link to can see. The things I think are awesome are that anyone can view the 3D image from all angles just from a web browser (even on mobile) BUT if they have a 3D headset (oculus quest works awesome, haven’t tested google cardboard yet) someone can open the link in the headset and actually walk all around your cabinet in VR as if it was standing right next to them life size.

Don’t know if everyone will get excited about it but figured I would share. I am going to do my bartop at some point but here is a test of my kid’s old ride-on Thomas the Train so you can see how it works: https://displayland.app.link/6zdFix6Xg3

Originally there was a lot of unnecessary stuff from the room and I was able to crop it all out to focus on the train the way someone here would want to for a cabinet.

      The app is Display.land.
