      I have RetriPie 4.3.12 and I would like to update the only one package (lr-pcsx-rearmed), but I can't get version newer, than there already is (the version in new RetroPie is newer). Is it possible to get new version of the package without global changes in the system (scripts update, global system update)?

      I can't install from source either. I get the error (/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/lr-pcsx-rearmed/libretro.so not found).

        You need to update the RetroPie-Setup first. Due to the re-organization of the upstream project, the old build script is no longer correct.

            As I thought, new script doesn't work with old RetroPie.

            Normally, all you need is to install PSX emulators and put images to /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx

                  @POPEYE said in RetroPie 4.3.12 - force one package update:

                  No, it's the other way around - the old script doesn't work anymore with the new upstream project.

                    @mitu
                    I tried to update script, and after that, new version of the script even told me, that 4.3 is not supported. There in no "install from binary" at all for me. I can install from source, but it gets some old version too (some 1.6.9), and it is not working properly (glitches and freezes).

                    @yahdiel621
                    You should read the manual page carefully. There is information about the supported formats (may be incorrect, if you are using old version of the RetroPie; then look old version of the manual in web.archive.org).

                      This means you're running an RetroPie version based on Raspbian Jessie, which is no longer support by Raspbian and - alas - by RetroPie also.

                      You should try and upgrade by imaging with the latest version of RetroPie (4.5.1) and you can backup and restore your settings and roms using the method mentioned int the Docs.
