Hey been awhile, need a little help please.

Hey people its been while. I'm writing since I finally managed to figure out how to use global retroarch settings. That being said there are some of my emulators that are not using the global settings. That being FBA/ NES/ SNES. For some reason they won't use the Global settings. I have checked my settings in /opt/retropie/configs/<system>/retroarch.cfg and in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg. As far as I can tell no issues with them and I even checked /home/pi/.config/retroarch/config and I deleted any configs that were not part of retroarch.cfg. Could it be a core override doing it?
I could just perhaps edit the configuration file for each to match the global settings and hotkeys but I kinda wanna find out if I can do it by deleting some file. I'm using an Raspberry Pi 3b and I'm on an old Debian version of PI. I have not upgraded to stretch on this. I believe I'm on retropie 4.4

You should specify the emulators you are using. IIRC, emulators that do not begin with "lr-" will not inherit global settings.

What settings are we talking about ? You should post the configs (on pastebin.com) and we can see why the configuration hierarchy doesn't apply.
