If you did have the RetroPie image, then reverting back to Megadrive would be as simple as deleting those two lines from the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/platforms.cfg wouldn't it?

No, deleting those lines would not fix the issue.

@chris-krojs Are you using a retropie image downloaded from the retropie site or did you get it from somewhere else?

@quicksilver as Buzz mentioned it seems to be a "Ultra Retropie Image from da Hurga-Team".
I bei the author of this thread will never answer again as i it is usual for those people as soon as they are asked for more information about their system.

@quicksilver how can I find that out? I’m new to this, I was left this project by a friend that I unfortunately can’t ask anymore.

@sirhenrythe5th good assuming mate. Here I am, posting again. If you’d like to help me work out what image I have then I’d welcome the support. you could also just be snooty about a noob not knowing anything and come across poorly.

This is the official Retropie site that created this awesome gaming experience for us. Your response was uncalled for as you had some knowledgeable people trying to help you. As it sounds from your setup you didn't create it yourself. Downloaded third party images aren't supported here as nobody knows what the image contains and how it was modified. Best support comes from installing the official image and going from there.

@ByteThis I hear what you’re saying. Do please note that I replied Directly to an inflammatory comment by the one person in the thread that wasn’t trying to help that insinuated I would run away. The response was fair to that one person.

I am thankful to others who are helping.

I have asked if there’s a way to determine if it was a third party image. I do not know. The project starter is no longer around, he won’t be back for me to ask.

                    Cheers. Chris.

@chris-krojs There wasn't any inflammatory comment made by @sirhenrythe5th .He was pointing out that it was a third party image by the name of Ultra Retropie Image from da Hurga-Team.

That is a 3rd party image and that is your main problem , and that's why no one else is helping you man. Help here consists of using the official image..this is a DIY project.

@ByteThis he also was rude: “ I bei the author of this thread will never answer again as i it is usual for those people as soon as they are asked for more information about their system.”

Substitute The “bei” Typo for “bet”.

I was responding to that quip that he made. That was an uncalled for assumption, like I said initially.

So you guys know what image this is? How do you know that I’d love to know how to look that up.

                        Cheers. Chris.

I believe this was said in jest. I don't think the OP said that anywhere.

@chris-krojs the default setting for that theme is megadrive as pointed out earlier. Try reinstalling the theme.
