    Does RetroPie bundle outdated Retroarch v1.7.6?

      Is it true that the current RetroPie image comes bundled with hopelessly outdated Retroarch version 1.7.6? If this is true, please release an updated image with a more current Retroarch version. Otherwise this is quite rude, because more and more users will create issues in the Retroarch repos, because they are un-knowingly using outdated versions and encountering issues.

        @rsn8887 we can't control were RetroPie users will open issues - they're welcomed to open them here and we'll help them as far as we can. As for releasing an image, that's a work in progress - but users can always update from their packages from an existing installation.
