here are a few things to try on your own right away:

        • There should be an error log printed to /tmp/runcommand.log
        • Do you have the GBA BIOS file placed correctly in the BIOS folder?
        • Please check the permissions on your roms directories

As he said. With the gba emu that is now used it requires the gba bios. Took me a minute to figure out when i went from retropie 2.6 to 3.7. (Yes i procrastinated like an idiot....)

never mind it was the berryboot that was stopping the gba roms to load (apparently berryboot installs an older version of Retropie) but anywho, now i am having trouble with n64 games, I'm trying to load smash bros with a raspberry pi b+ model overclocked to the medium setting, as described before it does the same as loading the gba roms on the berryboot retropie version except it goes back to the n64 menu can someone explain this to me, thank you for the support!
