xbox 360 right trigger controller problem

i am trying to set up a wired xbox 360 controller (power a mini) and a wireless xbox 360 controller (oem with the microsoft adaptor). the problem is the right trigger does not work on the xbox driver with the xbox 360 controllers. i am on a raspberry pi 3 with the retro-pie setup version 4.0 beta 2 and i cannot find the xbox userspace driver in retropie-setup to fix the problem. any help is much appreciated. Jstest also does not see the right trigger. The original microsoft xbox (not 360) controller maps the right trigger and works.

So nobody knows why the right trigger on xbox 360 controllers dont work, or where i can find the xbox userspace driver to fix the problem?
