      I have a simple question: how many systems can I upload to the Emulationstation?
      I read around that after a number of loaded systems, Emulationstation starts to give problems
      maybe it depends on the theme used?

      Raspberry Pi 3B "normal"
      Theme : Fuse edited (background,font,...)
      Retropie 4.5.18

      Thanks :)

        It depends on how 'heavy' is the theme. I have about 40 systems loaded and it's ok, but I'm mostly using the Carbon theme.

          perfect, so can you confirm that Emulationstation does not have a fixed limit? Thank you :)

            @hermit There's no hardcoded (or configured) limit for the number of systems. Note that it also depends on how many ROMs you have - I remember ES would crash with more than 120.000 ROMs loaded due to lack of memory.

              @mitu would this represent a corner case use for buying a Pi 4 with more than one GB of RAM?

              Currently running:
              Retropie 4.8.9 on a Pi Zero 2W (Overclock Settings: CPU 1400Mhz)
              ES-DE on a GMKtec K6 (Windows 11, 32GB RAM)

                @George-Spiggott It depends, how many ROMs are do you want to store ?

                  @mitu Not that many. I already have a 4GB Pi 4.

                    You can load as much as you want, but u will have a visual glitch in mune if your chossen theme miss this system, so the most completed theme i tasted out there is Supersweet them : https://github.com/RetroHursty69/es-theme-supersweet
                    And uniflyered theme : https://github.com/RetroHursty69/es-theme-uniflyered

                    Also art book , is one of awsome classy theme which i really love and if it miss a system you have it bult to use a really cool font to look like that it's ok , and you can add any missing theme easly .

                    And belive me iam really have a huge collection of systems, so i always become sad when a lovely theme miss a system
