Retropi4. I updated from source all day yesterday so it's the newest version.
      Raspberrypie4
Preloaded image that came with system.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have read the github document on runcommand menu but when when I launch a game it just goes straight to the game without anything coming up telling me to hit a button to get to menu. I went into settings and enabled option 1 and 3 to allow to make sure the screen wasnt disabled and still it goes straight to the game.

My issue is Killer Instinct runs but runs really slow in whatever the default emulator is amd I wanted to try a different version of mame or FBA and see if I can get it working better.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I have read a lot on github but unless its through a menu system I have trouble. I can type the commands out if I have to but i dont understand what I'm doing and really need step by step instructions for dummies that i can just follow. The github pages I'm sure make since to people who know what they are talking about but it is not specific enough for me to feel comfortable following without more help from someone. I hope that makes since.

      Thanks

If the system came with RetroPie installed, then note that we don't support 3rd party images, especially the ones that are sold with the system. Selling RetroPie is against the project's license.

How did you install RetroPie on the Pi4 ?

@mitu I apologize. I didnt know. I just ordered it with ready to play out of the box. Then I updated from source to get the newest version of everything. I didnt realize that against license or whatever. My apologies.

Everything works perfect except killer instinct and I'm just trying to change the emulator it uses to see if I can find one that works better. I guess Ill try another forum not directly associated with retropie.

          Thanks
